Modfire weather is almost here!
What amazing weather weather we have had in SEQ over the Easter school holidays! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Beautiful sun-shiny days spent with family and friends at the beach, my ideal holiday!
While day time temperatures are still quite pleasant there is a distinct coolness to the air. I've begun to daydream about evenings spent with friends around my Modfire; chatting, drinking red wine, enjoying a little music and definitely toasting marshmallows! It won't be long now...
We still have a limited number of Modfire urban campfires in stock for immediate delivery. We are taking orders for all other Modfires in preparation for the "Chilly Season". If you would like to place an order or if you have any questions please contact My Verandah or do something really old fashioned and give us a call on the land line 07 3870 7927.

Long live these beautiful days
I've been checking out my favorite blogs, a lot of which are based in the Northern Hemisphere. While everyone is gearing up for the warmer weather it reminds me of the anticipation I used to feel looking forward to summer in Nova Scotia. No matter how hit and miss the weather could be we would head to the beach on the weekend, even if we would sit in fog for most the morning until it cleared. Once the fog cleared and the sun warmed our bodies we would dip into the North Atlantic, our legs would feel numb. My favorite beach was called Queensland and it was a tiny slice of heaven.
Ironically (or not) I know live in Queensland, Australia. The hot steamy days of a Brisbane summer have just passed and made way for the most glorious Autumn. The skies are blue and the days are warm. While it lasts we have been enjoying long swims and even longer walks at Coolum Beach. Now back in Brisbane, the beautiful weather has inspired us to make the most of school holidays and take off to Byron Bay for a spontaneous get away for the rest of the week. I hope to be enjoying a few more days of amazing weather.
P.S. I collected these beautiful flowers from my garden this morning!
